SSTmoderate Course Description
Our team has been dedicating its efforts to improving patient safety through education and clinical decision support for more than 35 years. We train various medical practitioners, including physicians, nurses, and dentists, eager to increase their knowledge in the field and become more skilled at providing safe care for adult patients who require moderate sedation.
Our SST sedation courses are the result of a 15-year-long collaboration with medical professionals, education experts, and designers. SST is built upon the scientific foundation of best practices in sedation that closely follow the guidelines and scope of recommendations put forth by leading medical societies. Our courses were reviewed and adopted by the Sedation Committee of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, as well as endorsed by the International Society of Anesthetic Pharmacology.
Knowledge Assessments
Participants’ knowledge will be assessed in the virtual sedation suite. The training program allows participants to revisit the content and retake the assessments as needed.
The requirements to complete the courses vary slightly. In the SSTmoderate traditional track, learners are required to attempt every assessment and earn a cumulative score (across all modules) of 85% or greater. In the SSTmoderate fast-track and SSTrefresh courses, learners are required to have a score of 85% or greater in each of the nine modules. Upon completion of the courses, electronic certificates become available on the learner’s dashboard and are set to expire two years after completion.

The SST course comprises 9 modules and takes around 5 hours to complete. You navigate through the course at your own pace. The learner`s progress is saved, so you can get back to each module whenever you need. Each module is interactive and contains both an audio version and transcription for better information perception, and is followed by a quick test to assess your knowledge.
SSTmoderate is a self-paced course that you can take individually or in a group.

Administrator Dashboard
The Administrator Dashboard is another tool to simplify learning process management. Administrators can:
• assign training and optional CE credits;
• monitor your learners’ progress and use filters for specific user views;
• view and download staff certificates of completion;
• assign SSTrefresh to learners whose certificates are nearing expiration;
• purchase new licenses;
• download data for reporting.
Analytics Dashboard
A dynamic tool called Analytics Dashboard helps to monitor how well the learners understand the content, analyze their learning patterns, and pinpoint weak spots in their learning process.

The SST platform and all sedation courses were created by our team – a group of experts in anesthesiology, education, design, and software solutions. Our medical experts, whose knowledge was used for the training materials, have over a decade experience of working with various types of sedation, including deep sedation.
